Benchmarking Subcommittee (BSC)

The IASIOS Benchmarking Subcommittee (BSC) is tasked with developing and implementing benchmarking initiatives for IASIOS-accredited facilities. Its work includes data collection, analysis, and facilitation of knowledge sharing to improve interventional oncology service delivery.

BSC Chairperson:

Objectives (2025-2026):

• Benchmarking Tools: Develop and distribute methods of continuous  benchmarking data collection for IASIOS member facilities to analyse current standards of care in IO and areas for improvement.

• Collaborative Workshops: Organize regular opportunities at the CIRSE Annual Congresses to discuss recent survey results and facilitate the sharing of best practices among IASIOS centres.

• Patient Satisfaction Survey: Create a standardized patient satisfaction form template for IASIOS facilities to enhance patient-centred care.

Community Subcommittee (CSC)

The IASIOS Community Subcommittee (CSC) will focus on fostering collaboration, developing patient support materials, mentorship, and establishing networks for IO professionals to enhance community engagement and service development.

CSC Chairperson:

Objectives (2025-2026):

• Patient Support Materials: Develop materials intended to communicate with patients considering IO treatment such as patient information aids and, informed consent templates for IASIOS member facilities.

• Treatment Plan Templates: Create standardized treatment plan templates based on the Standards of Quality Assurance in IO to support consistent and effective patient care.

• Mentorship Opportunities: Facilitate cooperation between IASIOS member facilities by connecting facilities interested in developing their practice with one another in exchange expertise.

Educational Subcommittee (ESC)

The IASIOS Educational Subcommittee (ESC) is tasked with developing educational initiatives and resources intended to support IO departments in enhancing their service both before and after the accreditation.

ESC Chairperson:

Objectives (2025-2026):

• Topic Packages: Compile material accessible in the CIRSE Library that is useful for developing IO departments’ clinical services and meeting IASIOS Accreditation standards.

• IASIOS Training Workshops: Organize workshops at ECIO 2025 and ECIO 2026 involving the entire IO service teams of IASIOS facilities in discussing clinical standards and addressing solutions for common difficulties in IO departments.

• Webinars on Best Practices: Create and release webinars sharing best practices in IO care, hosted through the CIRSE Library.
